Conducted by the National Testing Agency, the National Eligibility Entrance Test or NEET is the successor of the All India Pre-Medical Test. AIPMT is an entrance examination conducted for the aspirants of the undergraduate medical courses and dental courses in the medical institution of India; both private and government. It is conducted in the following languages : Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Kannada,Odia and Gujarati languagesalong with Hindi and English. It is conducted once a year and is of 3 hours duration. The whole exam is conducted in 4 sections namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Zoology. Each section comprises of 45 questions. Thus there are 180 questions in all, which are to be attempted in the allotted 3 hours. Each question is of 4 marks. Thus for every right answer the aspirant will be given 4 marks, whereas for every wrong answer, the aspirant will have to face a deduction of one mark. There are a total of 720 marks. During the exam, it is advised to keep the following documents at the ready.

• NEET admit card
• Passport size photograph
• PAN Card/Driving License/Voter ID/Passport/Aadhaar Card (with photograph) /Ration Card/any other valid government ID
• PwD certificate issued by the competent authority if applicable
